Chris has been a professional drummer for 35 years. He started playing with the Solent Youth Concert Band at a tender age and was proud to be a part of their award-winning era under the leadership of Wes Garner. Chris lived in Nashville Tennessee for 20 years 1996-2016. Prior to moving to the States, he was a theatre musician in London as well as national and international tours before moving to Nashville, where he combined his drumming work with private lessons in both Portsmouth and London. He was the drum instructor at a music school in Nashville from 1998-2002.

Since his return to the UK he has been performing with the Royal Marines Association Concert Band and Gosport Solent Brass. He is now part of the newly launched music teaching team at Gosport Solent Brass. GSB are recruiting young players to the training band and will Chris can develop their transition to the main band.

Chris is also a health educator and is confident that his motivational skills along with his experience will lay the groundwork for future students to achieve success. He is currently building his drum teaching practice and is looking forward to sharing his experience along with working and motivating a new generation of musicians. Oh, and don’t forget to ask him to render his impressions of Orville the Duck and Michael Caine!!!
