Here we have Toby, Robin, Cadence and Soma who have all recently joined the Gosport Solent Brass Youth Group. Colin Garner our MD and the Musical Team, along with volunteers from the GSB Senior band offer FREE one to one tuition, FREE ensemble playing and where we can, we offer FREE instrument hire to all members of the Youth Band. The band meets every Sunday morning, 9:30 at Thorngate Hall in Gosport.
We are working closely with Brass Band England to also ensure that we provide a safe a trusted environment for all our youth band members to learn and enjoy themselves.
The band is a registered charity and our aim is to work with the local community to encourage musical development and free musical tuition, which offers so many benefits both academically and socially. Our youth members are currently learning their scales and other pieces with the hope that they can be entered for their grades. Ensemble playing allows the members to meet up as a group and play what they have learnt as one team. We really encourage any child aged 10 years and up to come along and join in the fun.
